Weather was great today and I got a little bit of time to cut the useless brackets and recheck all the clearances now that I got a finished bracket and measured where snout should be.. intercooler... charge pipes..

ignore the red pipes..lol

Look at all that new acquired room I will be able to blump the intake side of the SC with 4" to 3"

you can see how close the bracket comes...building the bracket was not an easy task since I had to measure intensely and still I have to figure out how to fit the bypass valve ..very important piece of the charger setup...

My Miller 3" MAF pipe that will be used for this project..

now thats close...

more to come..am getting really close in starting the engine with the charger installed :)

More work done...

Look at all that new gained space.. :)

removing the booster was not an easy task..

removed the ABS and had no choice to cut the lines they where seized.... so I will install new connectors and rework the lines as they seem in really good shape still.

new belt found got a Good year Gator which apparently are really forgiven and quiet.

now on the pedal assembly...lol...so cramped in there..

If the weather could just be nicer I would get things going faster...spring is coming :)

Too cold in the garage to work last few days...-20degree .. I have been gathering parts needed meantime. The weather is going to be nice tomorrow afternoon and next few days so I will put in a few hours and hopefully start the car to test out the blower and belt.

the very very nice booster delete kit from massive

and yes if my M62 is not up to the task which I know it will... I just scored a very nice M90 from a 3.8L thunderbird... it may even end up in my next e30 with the M30 engine from the winter beater e34 :)

It would of been cool if I could do a underhood intercooler (fan controlled)...

belt alignement

tensioner done....used an old one from an E30..

Well I had 1 hour available... and I was at least able to finish off the SC bracket and tack welded everything. Here is different views of how its put together..this where the bulk of the work is. (nobody can say I dont share my knowledge lol...)

Its very ugly right now but it will be nice when I finish welding it, grind corners, prime and wrinkle paint it.

Need to fit in the Belt tensionner and get a shorter belt I think...

After Next in line is do the brake booster delete, remove engine bay brackets and remove the useless ABS, then fit the SC again and start doing piping/intercooler...

Tonight I removed my miller maf, relocated my alternator, made room by moving wiring, water pipes..etc... just enough so I could test my braket I worked so hard on (I still had to trim it to make it fit) but god damn am happy it fits :)

The picture dont do justice to how tight everything is...
I had to remove the bypass valve as it was hitting the brake booster

keep in my mind that the bracket is still not finished
I just needed to test fit to make sure I can go ahead with more welding

this was a lot more work then I tought it would be..

alternator relocation...

more work ahead...a lot more..lol.. but am happy and
kind of relieved the main bracket fits which is a big piece of the puzzle.

Well tonight wasn't too cold to work in the garage and I had a little bit of time to do some more welding. My SC bracket is coming a long well. I had to change the design as the charger was hitting the master brake cylinder :( its all good as this design is a lot more studier..

The weather is suppose to be good next few days so I will take advantage..I should be able to finish it this week so I can start installing in the car.

pics..

This perspective makes my E30 look like a dragster..lol..
